Instructions for students requesting Disability Parking

An ASU Disability Parking sticker (Tier 1) will be issued through Disability Services. Students will need to come by Disability Services to request an ASU Disability Parking sticker (Tier 1).

Students will be required to furnish the following documentation:

  • State Placard/Registration (blue or red hangtag issued by the State Revenue Office)
  • Disabled Person's Access to Parking Application (issued with State placard)
  • ASU Parking Hangtag (available at Disability Services or Parking Services)
  • ASU Disability Parking application (Available through ASU Disability Services, Room 410 Chickasaw Building)

Students are required to properly display the State Placard/Hangtag and the ASU Parking Hangtag with a Disability Parking sticker (Tier 1) to park in disability parking on campus. Students with a disability parking sticker (Tier 1) will  be able to park in the designated blue disability parking spaces, the green parking space and the regular student parking spaces. Only students with a wheelchair or other related mobility device shall be authorized to park in Disability "Van Accessible" Parking space.

Displaying the above hangtags does not allow students to legally park in designated visitor parking spaces.

Students with a temporary impairment who have not been issued a red hangtag from the State Revenue Department should contact the ASU Student Health Center on campus for their parking needs.

The temporary parking permit issued through the Student Health Center allows the student to park in green and regular student parking.

For further parking information, please visit the ASU Parking Services website at http://parking.astate.edu.
